ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE
If you are potentially interested in a place for your child at Cavina, we would encourage you to make an enquiry online using the enquiry tab or to email our admissions registrar, Jackie Ndugwa, on admissions@cavina.ac.ke
We conduct regular school tours throughout the year and Jackie will place you on one of these following your enquiry. Following the tour, you will be invited to register your child if you wish to do so. A non-refundable registration fee of Kshs 7,000/- is paid at this stage, which covers the administrative costs of maintaining the waiting list. We do have to warn prospective parents that payment of a registration fee does not guarantee a place at the school. The waiting list for some classes is long, which is why we encourage early applications.
Our main intake is in Playgroup, where we offer a maximum of 25 places a year. Priority is given to siblings and then generally to pupils depending on the date on which a parent applies. However, other factors do also come into play when offering a place, such as our need to balance the number of boys and girls in the year.
In other years we only offer places when they come available due to a pupil leaving the school. Please be aware that since we aim to reduce class sizes towards the top of the school (where we have smaller classes) we do not always replace pupils who leave after Form IV (Year 5).
Please note that we will only formally accept a registration fee after you have toured the school, although we make exceptions for families living outside Kenya at the time of application.
