In PP1 the children develop their language through listening and speaking. They also engage in physical activities, art and craft, music, and science. They learn how to write numbers and letters as well as identifying colours and shapes. The class continues to follow the statutory framework for early learning and work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop.
Cavina Playgroup aims to offer children aged between two and three the opportunity of active learning experiences, either through play or through recognised Montessori methods, in a caring, happy, and secure environment.
We follow the statutory framework for early learning known as the Early Years Foundation Stage and work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop. They learn personal independence skills and how to take care of the environment they live in. In academic learning, children are prepared for reading and writing and mathematics through carefully prepared pedagogical activities that develop fine and gross motor skills and nurture cognitive development.
