Football, which is played in the first half of the Michaelmas term, has an enthusiastic following at Cavina. For the moment, only the boys play football as per the curriculum, but plans are in progress to introduce girls to the sport from 2024. Besides regular fixtures against other schools, football is particularly popular, with house matches a passionate affair, and the annual match against the teachers a keenly-anticipated event.
