Grounds & Facilities
Cavina is small but green, a tree-lined oasis of calm amid the bustle of Kilimani, an increasingly built-up district of Nairobi. Its low-slung buildings, mostly dating back to the colonial era, give the school a warmly traditional feel, while its lawns, flowerbeds and shaded areas give Cavina a soothing, gentle atmosphere that is often remarked on by visitors.
Although some sport, such as swimming and netball, take place at Cavina, our size means that most games are held off-site. We hire the playing fields at Impala Club for most sport. We are fortunate to have Nairobi Club as our home ground for cricket, which means that we are the only prep school that hosts games on a grass wicket that has been used for international fixtures. Finally, cross-country running takes place at Ngong Forest.
Pupils are taken to Impala, Nairobi Club and Ngong Forest by bus.
