Pupil Leadership

Cavina believes in fostering the idea of service through leadership in the school. There are a variety of leadership positions available to pupils in Upper VI (Year 8), ranging from prefects and house captains to monitors and captains of sport, while informal positions exist elsewhere in the school.

All pupils in Upper VI will have some role of responsibility in the school, with the emphasis being on service. Duties include ringing the school bell, keeping order at mealtimes, and helping keep an eye on children who need additional support. Among the more significant duties are running house assemblies and charity events. Prefects hold weekly meetings with members of the senior leadership team to discuss pastoral matters within the school. Through this programme, pupils learn that the most important ingredients of leadership are responsibility, dedication, and service.
